The Qīng dynasty era scholar Yán Kèjūn 嚴可均 (1762 — 1843) led a series of compilation projects to gather together all the extant writings from the historical figures from high antiquity to the end of the Six Dynasties, organized by corresponding time period. Obviously, included within that vast period is the Three States period, and included within that period is the Wèi Emperor Wǔ, Cáo Cāo, whose collection of extant works comes first in the Three States section.
